Description
Our client is a full service distributor of specialty chemicals and solutions for the food markets with their own manufacturing and laboratory facilities. The company employs approx. 50 fte and generates a turnover of 80 million euro’s. Their office is located in Utrecht. To strengthen the management team of its Benelux organisation in Utrecht, they are now seeking to recruit a Finance Director Benelux. The Benelux organisation is part of a multinational operating worldwide.
Position
  • The Finance Director Benelux works closely with the Managing Director Benelux and will report directly to the CFO Europe.
  • Provide leadership to the Finance and Accounting function in order to optimize the company’s financial performance and strategic position;
  • Drive the cycle of planning, forecasting, controlling & reporting in accordance to the headquarters guidelines and in close co-operation with the business leads;
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with the Managing Director and act as a business and sparring partner by providing strategic financial input and leadership and advise on the impact of new strategies;
  • Maintain the administrative organization and drive the implementation of standard processes and systems;
  • Provide day-to-day leadership to a team of 3 Finance professionals
  • Maintain and develop adequate and timely reporting of financial or non-financial information and support IT developments within the company;
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with regulatory, market and (indirect) tax requirements;
  • Manage local insurance coverage and legal affairs
Profile
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • 10-15 years of experience within financial and/or business control roles
  • Approx. 3 years of experience in finance leadership roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong & independent team player
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English
  • Leading small Finance team in sales driven & operational setting
  • Hands-on, pragmatic & flexible
  • Experience with ERP systems and business intelligence tools
  • Understanding of sales & supply chain processes
