Description
Our client is a Dutch operating company, part of an international foodmanufacturer (PE held), one of the major players in its field. The Dutch company has 6 foodproduction sites and employs approx. 350 fte. In order to strenghten its management team they are seeking to recruit a Finance Director. He/she will report to the MD Netherlands and dotted to the CFO of the group.
Position
  • Provide leadership to the Finance and Accounting function in order to optimize the company’s financial performance and strategic position
  • Drive the cycle of planning, forecasting, controlling & reporting in accordance to the Group’s guidelines and in close co-operation with the business leads
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with the Managing Director and act as a business and sparring partner by providing strategic financial input and leadership and advise on the impact of new strategies
  • Maintain the administrative organization and drive the implementation of standard processes and systems
  • Provide day-to-day leadership to a team of 5 Finance professionals
  • Monitor and manage the financial and liquidity position of the company by preparing cash flow forecasts and CAPEX business cases and actively managing working capital
  • Maintain and develop adequate and timely reporting of financial or nonfinancial information and supports IT developments within the company
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with regulatory, market and (indirect) tax requirements
  • Manage local insurance coverage and legal affairs
Profile
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • 12+ years of experience within financial and/or business control roles of which approx. 5 years of experience in finance leadership roles, preferably in a (food) manufacturing environment
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong & independent team player
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English
  • Leading small Finance team in sales driven & operational setting
  • Hands-on, pragmatic & flexible
  • Experience with ERP systems (Navision) and business intelligence tools (PowerBI)
  • Understanding of sales & supply chain processes
