Blue Phoenix Group (BPG) is an internationally operating company based in Rotterdam, specializing in the recovery of metals from ash produced during waste incineration. The company was formed through the merger of Dutch waste processor Inashco and the British company Ballast Phoenix. Since 2020, these companies have operated together under the name Blue Phoenix Group, symbolically referencing the phoenix rising from the ashes.
BPG focuses on processing bottom ash left after waste is burned in energy plants, recovering metals such as iron, aluminum, copper, and zinc. Positie
- Responsible for all aspects of the Business control function, Planning & Control Cycle and Treasury within Blue Phoenix Group.
- Part of the senior management team of BPG and reporting to the CFO
- BPG Planning & Control cycle (business plan, budget, monthly reporting).
- Responsible for and active participation in Quarterly Management Review Meetings with all business areas.
- All group financial reporting ranging from monthly Group management report to Annual Accounts, Bank reports, investment proposals to shareholders etc..
- Responsible for review and tracking of all CAPEX requests from the business. Proactively managing the CAPEX needs in the business.
- Leading the Country finance teams in line with Group business strategy and group accounting / controlling policies. All Finance Directors in the countries have a functional reporting line to the Group Finance Director.
- Responsible for Group treasury activities ranging from cash management to commodity hedging and operational bank management.
- Managing the Group Finance Team.
- Responsible for the accounting manual, internal control framework and the annual audit process with Group auditor.
Profiel
- University Degree in Finance (RC or RA) with a minimal of 10-15 years of relevant working experience
- Proven leadership and management skills.
- Knowledge of IFRS/Dutch Gaap
- Project management skills and experience with ERP and consolidation tools.
- Fluent in English and Dutch
