Wehkamp is the clear market leader in online fashion in the Netherlands but also sells electronics, home, garden, sports and leisure products through its website. It caters for the typical middle class family and has established itself as a household brand in the Netherlands. The company, with its headoffice in Zwolle, employs approx. 900 employees and is owned by APAX, its majority shareholder, since 2015. In order to strengthen their Finance discipline they are now looking to recruit a Head of Finance, reporting to the CFO.
Positie
- Responsible for all matters pertaining to accounting, financial reporting, tax, and treasury
- Responsible for leading the closing and consolidation process in close collaboration with the controlling teams
- Responsible for leading and developing a team of approx. 25 people
- Leading the audit process and the relationship with the auditors, ensuring that our accounting and reporting practices are held at a high level and financial audits will be completed satisfactorily
- Responsible for the bank relationship, ensuring that communications with banks remains transparent and financing is available in line with our business requirements
- Maintain the relationship with fiscal authorities, ensuring that fiscal filings are done completely, correctly and timely
- Responsible for cash flow management and planning, ensuring that cash allocation is performed optimally
- Responsible for the financial due diligence in potential acquisitions and integrating newly acquired businesses into the group Finance function
Profiel
- Technically trained and experienced Register Accountant with >15 year’s relevant work experience in IFRS
- Big 4 experience with subsequent experience in a corporate environment with a close relationship and collaboration with business stakeholders
- Having worked in retail (non-food/food) will be a distinct advantage
- Knowledge about and experience in dealing with VAT and CIT in the Netherlands
- Fluent in Dutch and English
