Our client is a market leader with inspiring solutions in life science and specialty chemicals. The group operates across 30 countries in Europe, North America, South America and Asia Pacific, they employ approximately 2200 employees. In order to strengthen their Head Office they are now seeking to recruit a Group Tax Director.
Positie
- Responsible for all tax affairs worldwide
- Provide tax support to Operating Companies and work closely with other staff departments in relation to tax matters
- Review the tax compliance within the respective region/Opco’s
- Jointly responsible (with Operating companies/Regions) for all local tax audits
- Identify and mitigate tax exposures and ensure compliance with the Group’s tax related policies
- Identify and implement opportunities for minimizing the effective tax rate and cash tax whilst maintaining the highest standards of compliance and integrity
- Review tax accounting, prepare and review risk assessments
- Manage (the fees of) external tax consultants
- Ensure buy in/sign off by relevant staff departments (mainly Legal, Accounting and Treasury) on tax related projects
Profiel
- University degree in tax law/economics, CPA or (Adv) LLM.
- 15+ years working experience in international taxation at the tax department of an international group or (but preferably “and”) in international tax consultancy (Big4)
- Up to date knowledge of Dutch corporate and international taxation
- Solid Transfer Pricing knowledge
- Working knowledge of IFRS (for impact on accounting for Taxes)
- Ability to translate technical knowledge into practical solutions
- Strong communication, analytical and presentation skills
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Flexibility to work with other cultures
- Fluent in English
- Service-oriented, pro-active attitude
